The Fredonia Mini Maker Faire is collaboratively produced by the Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES, The State University of New York at Fredonia and the Science Center. The event is supported by sponsors and donors who believe in the spirit of creativity and the Maker Movement in the region. This event would not be possible without the financial support of our sponsors and the hearts of our Makers.

  • The E2CCB Educational Foundation will be assisting with registration at our Maker Faire this year. Attendees will be asked to provide an email address. An email survey sent out in the coming days will provide us valuable feedback for planning next year’s event. Email addresses will not be sold or used for any purpose not related to the Fredonia Maker Faire. The first 1,000 people to register at this event will receive an E2CCB Messenger Bag.
  • Mario “the Maker Magician” will be doing two performances in the Science Center Lecture Room (off of the Lobby). The showtimes are 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. He will have a “meet and greet” station located on the map at number 33.
  • A few of our make-and-take stations charge a nominal fee. Expect to pay $5 to participate in the Tie-Dye, Screenprinting and soldering stations.
  • The lovely, mild weather forecast for Fredonia has led us to anticipate more outdoor Maker stations between the Science Center and the Williams Center! Be sure to check out Cooking with Paul’s Rocket Stoves, Textured Copper Pipe Bracelet by Aeress Designs, Eastern Style Papermaking, Carlson Chainsaw Carvings, and Ancient Stone Carving.
  • The Harry Potter Escape Room will be happening every hour on the hour from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (please arrive promptly as participants will not be permitted to join late) in room 122 (or stations 15-17) in the Science Center.
  • Back by popular demand! Rosie Scordo of Rosie’s Robots will present an ongoing workshop and participants can “Build their own Vibrobot” in room 66 of the Williams Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • The proceeds from the two basket raffles, one in the Science Center and one in the Williams Center, will be used to offset support next year’s Makers Faire.
  • You can also support this effort by using our social media hashtags of #MakerFaire, #IMadeIt, #WeMadeIt, #OpportunityMakers and #CircusOfCreativity.
